K had the flu last week. The theory is she has a minor bacterial infection that got out of hand because the flu compromised her immune system.

K's mom sounds like such a doll. What a thoughtful thing for her to do. :)

How scary though, about your neighborhood! Buy some Mace or pepper spray if you haven't already. I keep a small canister in my purse, and a full-size one in my bedside table (along with a steak knife). I got them at a local gun store.

Local gun store? Wherever you're living is very different from where I'm living. We don't have a local gun store here, or maybe we do and I don't know about it. The steak knife is a good idea though.

As I figured, nothing near me. As freaky as it is, I'm not too worried. We're keeping our doors locked, and we're on the second floor, so the guy would need a ladder to get in. Not that I should be writing this off, but between me an Aly, we could inflict some damage... especially now. Also, there were cops setting up a perimeter the other day, so we think they may have been after him.
