I couldn't wait until friday. Cleo kept crying this morning until Mom and I both came to her, and she just kept wheezing and shaking, but petting us and wanting to be petted. We took her to the vet, and they did an x-ray. There was a tumor that took up most of her chest cavity. We had to let her go.

Goodbye, Cleopatra. Mommy loves you so much.

I know, but doing the right thing hurts so much. I had always hoped she'd be one of those lucky, record breaking cats that live into their thirties, but I guess everyone does, you know?

*huge hugs* My best friend just lost her little Burmese. I'm so sorry. It's horrible to lose an animal friend.

I'm sorry for your friend. And it really is. Children are supposed to outlive their parents, you know? I know our feline children don't, but it doesn't make sense to my heart.

She did. She was one spoiled little kitty, and if I'd known what was wrong, I would have given her anything she wanted, ever. More than I already did. No, there wasn't. I just... I'm amazed she was still alive, just thinking about that x-ray. I think willpower was the only thing keeping her going. She didn't want to go until we told her she could.

No, she's not. I can't imagine how much pain she must have been in, and didn't complain about it even once.
