Sometimes, as much as I enjoy classical music, I get so sick of it, and the people who shape the particular genre. I feel like I'm going to become another pedantic corpse, blurting out rules and reasons without any real conviction, personality, novelty or knowledge

I'm all for exploring art forms in new ways. You need to keep your passion fresh!

I think it's plain ol' "alternative music." At least, that's what Jason Mraz gets classified as, since it's kind of a catch-all for people being creative with their music. I also know that Mraz does a lot of improv on stage, even with his established songs. Maybe something like that would be fun for you?

I wish I could let you mess around with Garage Band on my iMac. I think you might have a lot of fun recording and layering songs or something... O.O
