Holy shit, don't you just LOVE doctors sometimes? Like when they completely ignore you because you're just a nurse, and obviously don't know what you're talking about. Or the fucking doctor who won't call the hell back for new pain med orders when your pt. is sobbing in pain? Or the stupid on call who won't make a fucking decision about a pt. cause they "don't know them well enough". Hello, you're on call! They are your patient right now, and "I don't know" isn't a fucking order! You didn't go to 12 years of school to "I don't know" yourself into a corner and have an LPN reem you out for it. (Ask me how I deal with pissy doctors, I dare you.) Anyway, sounds like crazy busy stuff. For some reason our rehab floor has been insane lately. Three nurses for 50 res. and we still can barely keep our heads above water. Not to mention sky high BP (200s/100s), flash CHF, dialysis crises, and infected hardware. Oh, not to mention the confused rehabers having every other day events. Events fucking blow. Family members fucking blow. One took their
