Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way...yeah, right

Yeah, wish I had a little of that Christmas spirit right now. I'm just tired. If I could crawl in the bed and stay there a few days I really think I'd be okay. Alas, neither family nor job would be very understanding of that ( Read more... )

That reminds me that I need to watch Christmas Story! I can't believe it's already the holiday season. It feels like yesterday was Halloween! >_<~

One of the networks...TNT?...TBS?...somebody used to run A Christmas Story all the time starting on Thanksgiving Day. I guess they realized it's popular so now they're being stingy with it. I'd started to buy it today, $13, but talked myself out of it since I haven't made much of a dent in my Christmas list yet. My mom actually bought one of the T-shirts with Ralphie on it and has been wearing it and my younger sister is so embarassed by that but I think it's wonderful.

Yes, Halloween was one week, then it seemed like the very next was Thanksgiving and now Christmas is barreling down on us at full speed and I feel like screaming STOP and putting everything in slow motion for a while.

I'm on my way to look. When you do the lj user thing, do it just like you did it the first time but leave a space between lj and user, don't use a hyphen, and the < and > at both ends. Took me forever to learn how to do the link stuff and I still forget sometimes.

I'll have to go by the community and read some. The community name drives me crazy...the thought of all those innocent, celibate (yeah, right) Jedi all lined up under the mistletoe, wouldn't that be a beautiful sight.

I love Jimmy Stewart, in most of his movies, but especially in It's a Wonderful Life. He was such a good person and tried so hard but bad things kept happening to him and you could see all his hope fading out of him. Makes me feel all weepy and sad until the end where he goes home and then everyone comes to help and is singing and handsome little brother Harry comes in...perfect.

Darren McGavin was perfect as Ralphie's dad. Of course I'd liked him before, since I had watched him in the old Night Stalker reruns that aired when I was a kid. And the mean kid whose nose Ralphie bloodied looks so much like a boy I went to school with and really disliked.
