After a long night of shenanigans at the Quidditch House, the halls of Painswick University felt particularly bright to Riley's eyes. He squinted as he walked down them, cup of freshly brewed coffee in one hand and Legilimency textbook on the other. He shuffled along through his morning haze, faceless students passing him by as he went.

He banked left, about to turn a corner when-- crash! --he collided with a girl nearly half his size. Coffee and papers went everywhere.

Riley?? Well, this certainly made things...awkward.

"Lost your footing?" she asked.

"Lost your latte?" he smirked, reaching down to pick up his books. He silently thanked Merlin they'd managed to escape the worst of the coffee splatter.

"It's been awhile," Riley noted, managing to keep his practiced cool as he looked down at the girl who held the better part of his sixteenth year, "All right?"

"I'm very well," she answered. "Yourself?"
