Morag sat at the corner of the common room, fiercely scanning her Astronomy notes. She had managed to finish all of her other finals but had put this off until the last moment. It wasn't until this moment that she was willing to admit defeat. The common room was beginning feel stuffy and blue was too much of a winter color. Mori weaved her fingers ( Read more... )

Kyle's pile of finals was a mile high-- Not to say he hadn't already finished them all (he had) but Kyle was the type to suffer nightmares about forgetting to properly respond to number 23 on the Transfiguration exam. Stop staring, he informed himself. "I'm Kyle," he said finally, presenting his hand.

"Mori," she said, taking his hand, which made her's looked small and delicate. His skin felt hot against her own.

"I've never noticed anyone quite so clumsy in the common room before," Mori continued, meeting his eyes. From over his shoulder she noticed a group of second years watching with awe and jealousy. It hadn't escaped Mori how good looking Kyle was and others had also taken notice.
