Oh.
It rips me apart that this is the legacy we are leaving for our children.

The postman today gave me a large box for our neighbour while she was out. He seemed a bit odd about it, until I realized he thought it might be her son's last effects, sent home from Afghanistan. We both felt a lot better when we realized Joseph had signed the delivery slip and was just shipping some of his stuff home.

I'm not sure where humans got it into their heads that war of any sort is civilized behaviour.
