Caitlin, I am so glad that you wrote this. It's so powerful when we can break through the cliches and simply hear those things which are so deep and so true. Being a language major I think about language a lot. I'm convinced that the devil uses language as a way to confuse people or control them. Oftentimes we're afraid to use these cliches because of the risk of being labelled or seen as boring or whatever. But God is unchanging. And while we have different experiences and gain wisdom and grow in maturity the basic things don't change. Jesus's sacrifice is life for us. No matter how many times it has been said.

I praise God so much for you as my sister. I'm so grateful that we can experience God's wonderful truth together. I know things have been rough for you lately. But it gives me so much strength when I see you standing undefeated. I praise God that while we struggle and sin it is simple trust in God that gets us through.
