Delectable witticism

You know what is so great about the phrase, "What a delectable witticism"? It totaly makes you sound wittier than the witter-er? -ist? You vaguely get where I'm coming from? It at least puts you and company on the same level. I, however, am unable to use the term delectable on the spot, so usually respond with, "HA!" or perhaps, "huh?" or "wow,

i used to have a lot of respect for people with big vocabularies. until Bilal pointed out that they're just using pretentious words for simple, everyday statements. it's a good point.
