Amimono had taken the limo. He let the chauffer drive as he made phone calls in the back seat. "....yes, that one. I know it wasn't in the company budget plan. This is not coming from the company's budget. Just have the damn thing at his desk Monday morning. And remember...he get's there at the crack of dawn." He hung up as the limo pulled into the parking lot. He got out and turned to the driver, "Park. I'll call you when I need you." He shut the door and made his way to his son's apartment door. He knocked.
Kumo peeked his head out of the kitchen. He was just making himself something to eat when he heard a knocking on the door. He bounced over to the door, "Who is it~?" He chirped.
"It's your father."
Kumo opened the door. The tall model was dressing in tight leather pants and a frilly pink apron.
Amimono's eyebrows raised and he cracked a smile. "Is this what the model wears on his days off or is it some new trend I haven't heard of?"
"It's my day off." Obviously, Kumo's hair was sticking up every which way, making it obvious he just rolled out of bed. He moved aside, "Wanna come in?"
"I would like that." Amimono held out his hand in which he held a box of chocolate that he had vaguely remembered as something Kumo liked. "I bought this for you."
"Aw, thanks dad." He chuckled softly, taking the box of chocolates. He walked into the apartment, humming softly.
Amimono follwed his son inside. "So, what were you making?"
"Shrimp fried rice." He smiled, "You want some?"
"Sure." Amimono looked around the apartment. "Is your roommate here?"
"No, he's working." He smiled softly, motioning his father to sit down at the table in the dining room.
Amimono sat. "Do you mind if I smoke?"
"Actually, this is a smoke free zone." He frowned a bit.
"All right." Amimono searched for something to say. "So...how is work going for you?"
"Good, actually. I just recently did a photoshoot for CosMode." He stirred the fried rice, then turned off the stove.
"Hmm...I'll have to keep an eye out for it."
He stirred the rice a bit more, then started to take out plates and silverware, "Would you like something to drink?"
"Do you have any alcohol?"
"Yeah, wine and liquor." He shrugged a bit.
"Whatever's hardest." Amimono's eyes rose to look at the wall for a moment and then to his son.
He pulled out a bottle of hard liquor and a small glass, setting it on the table infront of his father.
"Thank you." Amimono poured himself a glass and shot it back. He sat for a moment and turned to his son. "Do you love him?"
"Who?" He blinked softly, putting some rice on the plates.
"Your roommate."
"Kazuma? Of course, why wouldn't I?" He blushed a bit, putting the food infront of his dad.
"And he loves you?"
"...Longer than I him." He sat down after getting a glass of Sprite. "Why the sudden interest?"
Amimono shrugged and began eating. After a few bites he stopped. "It's nice loving someone who loves you back, isn't it?"
"Yeah...." He smiled softly to himself.
Amimono put his chopsticks down and smiled. "I'm happy for you."
"Thanks..." He shifted a bit awkwardly.
"Aren't you eating as well?"
"Oh, yeah." He chuckled and began wolfing down the rice.
Amimono continued to eat, every so often glancing up at the wall.
Kumo watched him silently. After a little while he spoke up, "You like my wall?" He chuckeld a bit.
Amimono took a moment before answering. "I like what's on the other side of it."
Kumo blinked then frowned a bit, "DOn't destroy his life, dad."
Amimono looked up at hi son, surprised. "How would I do that?"
"By being possesive." He pouted a bit.
Amimono smirked. "If I were possessive, he would not be living with that Russian right now."
"Dima's a nice guy." He took a bite of the rice.
Amimono ate some more of the rice. "Yeah, I'm sure." He said offhandedly.
Kumo sat there a bit, then spoke up again, "Mom's anniversary's coming up soon..." He said softly.
Amimono swallowed. "Yes."
"Have you been visiting her?" He watched him.
"...not as much as I should but I try to."
"I go every month..." He poked at his food gently.
"Have you gone this month?"
"Not yet...I need to."
"I'd like to go with you. If you don't mind."
"If you want...I dunno when my next free day will be."
"Just keep me informed and I'm sure we can arrange something. I have a steadier schedule than you so we'll go by yours."
"Ok...I just dunno when Manager will schedule my shoots...and She tends to tell me the day before, so." He chuckled softly.
"Sounds like an organized job."
He shrugged, sipping his sprite.
Amimono continued eating. After a while the food was gone. Amimono was at a loss of things to say. "Well,...I just came by to see how you were doing and give you those chocolates. Do you still eat those?"
"Yeah, though mint chocolate is my favorite." He smiled softly.
Amimono nodded. "I'll remember that." He rose. "I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing."
"Yeah, I gotta get ready, 'cause Kazuma's gonna come home soon." He stood.
"Ok." Amimono headed toward the door. "I'll see you soon then."
"I will." Amimono left.
Kumo shut the door, yawning a bit.
Amimono called the limo. When it came he climbed inside and they drove away. That microscope better be on his desk Monday morning.
