Workday/Weekend

Mar 01, 2006 22:01

It was 6:15 when Sukiyama awoke. 15 minutes ahead of the alarm clock as usual. He got up and started on breakfast, putting Aiko on his shoulder as he went.

Dima rolled over when he felt the bed move. He buried his head in the pillow, gave a small, sleepy moan, and slept on.

Sukiyama made enough for Dima and him, giving Aiko a bit of rice and went back into the bedroom. "Dima." He called softly. "Breakfast is ready."

A small sleepy groan came from the sleeping man, but that was all.

Sukiyama tried again. "Dima, don't you want breakfast?"

Another groan.

Taking Aiko off his shoulder, he set her on Dima, letthing her run up to him with her clawed toes, and sniffing at his face.

Dima giggled in his sleep and batted gently at her.

Sukiyama smiled. Aiko was far from giving up and went and nibbled at his ear, chattering.

The Russian squealed and sat up, instantly awake. "What? Oh, you silly thing!" He cried playfully as he took Aiko into his hands.

Sukiyama stood in the doorway, smiling. "Finally you're up. I had to ask for assistance to revive you."

"Is that so?" Dima grinned.

"I did. Luckily reinforcements did the trick."

"So it seems," he answered as he climbed out of the bed, taking the blanket with him. He put Aiko on top of his head, wrapped the blanket around his naked form, then wandered over to Sukiyama.

"Ever consider getting dressed? There's a lady present, afterall."

"MMm, no one here cares."

Sukiyama walked back to the kitchen without commenting further.

Dima giggled and followed after him. "See, I'm right."

"I never agreed with you. But it's time for breakfast." Sukiyama sat down at the table.

Dima sat down as well. "Aw, that hurts my heart."

Sukiyama looked up completely serious. "How is that?"

Dima kept his expression serious, although inside, all he wanted to do was laugh loudly. "I want you to like me naked."

Sukiyama blushed faintly. "Wh- Why would that be?"

Dima bit his lip against a laugh. "Why not?"

"I just... I don't see why it should be important at this moment in time. Unless there is something about our relationship that I'm missing here. In which case, please enlighten me."

Dima finally failed, and started giggling madly.

Sukiyama pushed his glasses up. "What?"

"You're too cute..."

"I am what?" Sukiyama was begining to doubt the russian's sanity.

"You're cute."

"I don't understand."

"Oh, nevermind."

Sukiyama began to eat. Foreigners had strange customs indeed.

Dima giggled a bit more, then started eating as well.

Sukiyama ate in silence, keeping his eyes on the man across from him. Never know when he might do something weird again.

Dima ate as well, every once in a while flashing Sukiyama a grin.

Was that smile a sign of some sort of suspicious behavior? One never could be sure...

"This is very good," Dima said after he swallowed a mouthful.

"Thank you."

Dima smiled again and continued eating.

Sukiyama continued to watch Dima.

He ate a bit more, then looked up at Sukiyama. "Hm?"

"Yes?"

"Why're you watching me?"

"Am I?"

Dima nodded.

"My appologies" Sukiyama sipped his soup, averting his glance.

"No, it's okay. I was just wondering why."

Sukiyama finished and bowed as he stood to clean up. He still was unsure of himself. He'd made a commitment, and yet he had no idea what was expected of him. He tried to act naturally... but something was in the air, making him work for that normalicy.

Dima watched him get up as he continued eating. "Something wrong?" He asked as he swallowed more food.

"No, of course not." He smiled and turned to take his dishes to the sink.

Dima sighed. "God, you're so hot when you smile."

Sukiyama froze so quickly he dropped a chopstick. "Refresh me on the meaning of 'hot'."

"Sexy."

"I thought so..." He set the dishes in the sink and he bent down to pick up the fallen utensil.

"Why?"

"Just curious..."

"Does it make you uncomfortable?" Dima asked as he stood.

"N-no! Of course not." Sukiyama chuckled nervously and began washing the dishes.

Dima brought his dishes over and leaned against Sukiyama slightly, resting his chin on the other man's shoulder. "Sure about that?"

Sukiyama paused as his face grew red agian. "Why would I not be, Dima?"

"Dunno... that's for you to answer."

"It is?"

"Mhm."

"Why do you say that?"

"Mmm, nevermind," he said as he raised his head from the other man's shoulder and placed the dishes in the sink.

He felt guilty. He didn't know why, but it seemed as though he had let some oppurtunity slip by. "Do you have any plans for today while I'm at work, Dima?"

"You don't... have work today, hun," Dima answered.

"Of course I do. It's a Friday afterall."

"Sunday," Dima corrected.

"No it's not." Sukiyama went to the calender to look.

"Yes it is," Dima fought back in a sing-song voice.

Sukiyama put his finger on the 2nd friday in the month. "See? Friday the 10th"

"Yes, I know that Friday was the 10, however, it was also the day before yesterday," Dima explained, coming over to him.

Sukiyama tried to think back on the week and how many days it had been that he was working. "I'm pretty sure it's Friday."

"I'm pretty sure you're wrong, Akira," Dima replied.

Sukiyama adjusted his glasses to hide his embaressment. He still wasn't use to being used by other than his family name. "I shall have to check." Taking the phone in his hand, he called the local weather service.

2006, Februrary the 12, Sunday. Mostly sunny skies with a light wind from the Southwest. Expect clouds in the evening. Highs--" Sukiyama hung up.

Dima giggled and wrapped his arms around Sukiyama's middle, pressing himself against the other man. "I'm right, aren't I?"

"There is no need to gloat about the matter."

"Oho, but I want to," Dima answered.

Sukiyama looked over his shoulder. "That's fairly rude, don't you think?"

"Mhm. But I don't care," Dima smiled.

"Fine. It's Sunday." Sukiyama admitted.

"Yay," Dima cheered, squeezing Sukiyama's middle.

"Oh!" Sukiyama jumped

"Jumpy this morning, are we?"

"Only when you squeeze me." It wasn't that he didn't like it either, it just... it was not something he was expecting or conditioned to yet. Since they had come to their understanding, Dima was, if possible, more physical towards him.

Dima nodded, smiled, and did it again.

Sukiyama blushed and leaned back against the other man.

Dima sighed and nuzzled against the side of Sukiyama's neck.

"That tickles..."

Dima paused long enough to apologize, then went right back to it.

Surely, he was suppose to do something in return. But what? Sukiyama reached down and put his hands over Dima's.

Dima sighed happily and kissed Sukiyama's neck gently.

Slowly he slide his fingers between Dima's.

He gave the other man another squeeze and nipped gently at his ear.

"Ah!" Sukiyama sqeezed the hands he was holding

Dima chuckled and did it again.

Half whimpering, Sukiyama wondered, "What are you doing?"

"Do you not like it?" Dima asked quietly.

"I didn't say that."

"Hm." He placed a kiss on the same spot he'd nipped, then leaned his chin on Sukiyama's shoulder once more.

"So uh... what is your plans for the day?" Sukiyama was trying to reorient himself with the world.

"Don't have any. You?"

"Not since it's Saturday."

"Hm..." Dima said as he thought.

"Indeed"

"We could always lay around in bed together?"

"Is that common for..." Sukiyama trailed off trying to think of the best way to say it.

"For...?"

"People like us..."

"It could become common... for us."

"So, is it not common then?"

"I don't know what's common for other people. I'm not them," he answered.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to imply... I... If you want, that would be fine with me."

"What do you want?"

Sukiyama turned to face Dima. "I want.... what makes you happy." He lowered his gaze.

"But I have you, so I am happy," Dima answered.

Sukiyama looked up to meet Dima's gaze. "Then I suppose we're back to square one."

"Guess so..."

"Is these something you want to do today?"

"Mmm, beside rip your clothes off and make love to you?" Dim asked with an evil grin.

Sukiyama had to cover his face with a hand from shock.

"...what?"

"That was not an answer I had been prepared to recieve. Although, perhaps I should have expected as much..." Sukiyama realised he should probably not let the question go unanswered this time. "Besides, I don't think I'm ready for such a brash display of affection."

"I didn't figure you were. But you're awfully fun to tease," Dima smirked.

"Ah yes. How could I have misccalcuated that into your responses"

Dima giggled.

"Do we still not know what our plan for the day is then?"

Dima shook his head. "Nope."

"Well... I suppose I need to go by the grocerry store at some point. I could do that today... if youw ant to come, that is."Sukiyama didn't know if that would be too dull for his companion

"Alright. Sounds like a plan," the younger man said.

"We'll be going to a large place. So if you need, there will be a bunch of shops in the same building."

"Sounds good!"

"Then I suggest you put more clothing on then just our bed sheet." Sukiyama said pointedly, tugging on the sheet lightly.

"I will. But first..."

"Yes?"

"I have to know. Does it not turn you on at all that you have a naked man pressed up against you?"

Sukiyama flushed. "Turn on?"

Dima nodded.

"What does that mean, exactly?"

Dima thought for a moment. "Arouse you."

"I suppose it is rather intriguing... but I've never really stopped to consider it for long." Sukiyama answered

"Maybe you should..."

Sukiyama did so and his face turned deeper red. "Oh my..."

Dima grinned.

"What exactly are the implications of such a situation in our sort of relationship, Dima?"

"What do you mean? I'm just leaning against you, naked," he answered innocently.

"I mean... does that put us in a normal situation? Or is it perhaps, a bit less than accepted?" Sukiyama was not enjoying how much pleasure Dima got from such teasing.

"It just means I'm an evil, horny bastard, that's all."

Sukiyama relaxed. "Well if that's all then I will not worry." Apparently Dima was some sort of devil. Something was probably lost in translation on that one...

"But, you should..."

"Should I?"

Dima nodded.

"And, why would that be?" Sukiyama's breathing got heavier as he prepared for something unknown

"...because?"

"Because of what?"

Sukiyama swallowed. "You aren't going to grow a horn for real, are you?"

".....horny means I'm sexually aroused, hun."

Sukiyama froze. "Oh." He blinked, considering this deeper. "I see... then perhaps I should back away now?"

"Backing would make the situation infinitely worse..."

"It would? Well... then what would be the mst benificial way to proceed?"

Dima shrugged. "Guess we're stuck..."

"Best for me not to move then, I gather."

Dima nodded.

Sukiyama stared at Dima.

The Russian smilednup at him.

"Are you enjoying yourself?"

"Very much so."

"Why's that?"

"Just am"

Sukiyama looked at Dima.

Dima stared back up at him.

"..."

Dima smiles once more.

Sukiyama smiled back.

He snuggled against him a bit more and sighed.

"What should I do, Dima?"

"Do?"

"I mean... when we're like this. Is there something I should do?" Sukiyama hated asking, but things seemed so ackward.

"Do as you see fit," Dima explained.

"That's very specific."

"So?"

"Dima, I want to do this properly. But... I have no idea how. You have to help me."

"I can't tell you what to do, that's for you to decide. Do as you see fit, and if it's wrong, I'll let you know."

Sukiyama gave up. "Let me know when it's alright to go to the store."

"..." Dima took a step back, unwrapping his arms from around Sukiyama.

Sukiyama cursed himself. That was obviously the wrong thing to say.

He wrapped the blanket tightly around himself and headed to the bedroom.

Sukiyama sighed. "Dima."

Dima blinked and paused. "Yes?"

Sukiyama walked up behind him. "I..." It took him a moment of struggle before he took Dima's shoulders and spun him. Kissing the shorter man.

Dima's eyes widened in shock, and his whole body went rigid. After a second, his eyes closed and, letting go of the blanket, he wrapped his arms around Sukiyama's shoulders.

Sukiyama felt the tension slip away. This is what he would have to do next time in the same situation

He kissed the other man back and gave his shoulders a slight squeeze.

Letting go of the rational part of his mind, he put his arms around Dima's waist, holding him close.

Encouraged, Dima parted the other man's lips with his own and slid his tongue in.

Sukiyama felt his body tingling but did not resist.

Dima pressed himself fully against Sukiyama, kissing him passionately.

Sukiyama let a small noise escape his lips.

Dima slid his arms from Sukiyama's shoulders and started undoing the buttons on the other man's shirt.

He had to take deeper breathes. Perhaps this sort of behavior was more common than he'd realised initially...

After he got the last button done, Dima slid the shirt down off Sukiyama's shoulders.

Sukiyama thought for a moment before taking his hands off of Dima long enough to let the shirt come off. He folded it and set it aside, before putting his hands back on the other man's waist.

Dima hands immediately began roaming the other man's chest.

Sukiyama swallowed. It felt much warmer in his apartment suddenly. He tried to ignore a constant surge of sensation rushing to below his belt.

Dima brought his lips to the sensitive skin on Sukiyama's neck and nibbled.

Sukiyama whimpered. "Dima..." he panted

"Louder," Dima instructed as his lips roamed Sukiyama's neck and shoulders.

"Dima!" He obeyed, pausing only afterwards to realise that he'd done it.

Dima grinned as a hand made its way to the waistband of Sukiyama's pants.

Sukiyama moved his hands to rest on Dima's shoulders to help him balance.

He undid the belt, then unbuttoned and slowly unzipped Sukiyama's pants. He brought his lips away from the other man's body and watched his face while he did so.

Sukiyama panted, his face flushed. What was Dima going to do to him?

He leaned in and kissed the other man as he pushed Sukiyama's pants off his hips.

Sukiyama took a deep breath. "Dima..." He took another. "What are you doing?"

He put a hand gently on Sukiyama's cheek. "Do you want me to stop?"

"I... I don't know..."

"Mmm, Akira..."

Sukiyama looked down at Dima. "Yes?"

Dima just smiled up at him.

"I..." He licked his lips.

"Yes?"

"I am a bit dizzy." He realised that he felt rather light headed.

Dima took his hand gently and led him to the couch, and forced him down on it.

"Thank you."

He nodded and ran his fingers through the other man's hair.

Sukiyama relaxed and closed his eyes. "That feels very plesant, Dima."

Dima smiled and continued for a bit, letting his eyes roam over Sukiyama's naked form.

Sukiyama laid there, feeling more relaxed then he had in quite some time.

"Beautiful," he murmered, still petting.

Sukiyama opened his eyes. "What is?

"You are."

"Me? I think you've confused your words, Dima."

"No, you are."

Sukiyama chuckled, positive that Dima was trying to come up with something else that sounded similar.

"So beautiful..."

"If you say so."

"I do."

"If I knew any Russian, I'd help you correct your mistake, Dima. I'm sorry I can't be of any help."

"There's no mistake."

"But I'm not the 'beautiful' type."

"You're my beautiful scientist."

Sukiyama blushed, unable to speak.

"I love you, my beautiful scientist," he said softly.

Sukiyama covered his face with his hands. "You shouldn't tease, Dima."

"I'm not..."

"But you couldn't mean that..."

"But I do..."

"But..."

"But?"

"... just..." Sukiyama couldn't think of any explaination. Why was it so wrong? He knew it was but... why? He was at a loss.

Dima stared at him, waiting for an answer.

"I... I don't know..." He looked away, not wanting to admit defeat, even as it appeared eminent

"Why does it shock you so?"

"I just... that's such a serious thing."

"It is... that's why you should belive me."

"Dima... are you sure that's what you mean?"

"Why do you question me?"

"I just... I've never had anyone love me before."

"You do now..."

"Yes..." Sukiyama got up and went to the kitchen. He was going to need another of those serious thinking sessions to work this out.

Dima sat up straight and watched him retreat.

Sukiyama drank a glass of water

"Did I screw up?" Dima asked himself.

Sukiyama came back into the living room. "I'm sorry, Dima. I'm still unsure of how I feel..."

"I really am sorry... This must be very difficult for you..."

Dima shook his head lightly.

Sukiyama sat down on the couch again.

"So..."

Sukiyama looked up. "Are we still going to the store?"

"Mmm, you can."

"You don't want to go?"

"Mmm, no. Not right now."

"Alright. Is there anything you want while I'm out?" Sukiyama asked picking up his stripped clothing and putting it back on.

"Hm... chocolate."

"Any preference on type?"

"Nope," he said, still smiling.

"Alright then." After straightening himself up he headed to the door. "I'll see you in a bit then."

"Bye, Sukiyama-ushka," he said with a little wave.

Sukiyama bowed and walked out.

He watched him leave, then sank back against the couch.

Sukiyama felt like maybe he should've prodded Dima to come with him, but didn't feel like pressing the other man. Besides, it would give him time to think.

"Yeah, I screwed up," Dima told himself, running a hand through his hair. He stood, grabbed the blanket, then threw it on and flopped back down on the couch.

What would it mean to be in love with someone? What did it feel like? Sukiyama had no scale to match his feelings against. Was it like the pride he felt for his work? Surely it must be different... Perhaps like how be felt the need to protect Aiko. And yet, it would have to be different. What did it mean to love someone...

"Damn, why did you have to say that? You've really fucked up," Dima lectured himself.

By the time he got to the store, he had made little progress on thesee questions. He'd come to terms with the fact that Dima loved him. He could except that. The problem was, figuring out what that meant. Did that change anything? They sa love isn't a choice, so that must mean that there's nothing that could be done, regardless.

After a long time of sitting on the couch, he got up and started wandering around, his mind wandering as well.

Getting to the baking aisle he saw a large variety of chocolate. Surely this is what he had meant, right? Sukiyama took a large block of choclate off the shelf and put it in the basket.

He eventually decided on a bath, and wandered to the bathroom.

Sukiyama got all the other grocerries. The usual bases for various stocks and sauces. Some rice, a bit of meat and eggs, and a bunch of fresh vegitables. Just as he was about to pay, he saw something that caught his eye. Maybe Dima would like it...

He made sure to take the bath correctly this time, figuring he'd not give Sukiyama anything else to freak out about. Finally, he was able to relax in the tub, and he let his mind wander further.

Sukiyama decided that one was enough, just in case he made a wrong decision, so he took it and went and checked out.

He stayed in the bath a bit longer, then got out, dried off, and flopped naked on the bed.
