Um, Romeo is totes a pathetic loser. The play starts with him sitting under some tree moaning and complaining about how this hot girl won't give him the time of day, and he's all lovesick and forlorn and OH MY GOD LIFE IS MEANINGLESS I'LL GO WRITE MYSPACE POETRY ABOUT IT.

His friends DRAG him to the ball to cheer him up, he sees Juliet, and two seconds later Romeo's aaaaaaaaall about that fine ass. He doesn't stop moaning and crying and complaining; he's spazzing the fuck out after he gets banished. He's a tool. I don't like Romeo & Juliet. XDD

Romeo IS complete, pathetic loser. I haven't actually read the play, and I honestly am not planning on it unless I have to or something. He's so annoying, I dislike him. All he does is WHINE and WHINE and complain. And after he kills Tybalt he's all like NOOOOOOOOOO WHY DID I DO THAT?!?! And I'm like, you're an idiot, he just killed your best friend and you're having an angst trip. And Juliet's also stupid, because then she has sex with him.

This is why I like West Side Story, because Anita and Bernardo and Riff and Action are around to distract me from Tony and Maria's stupidity.

Oh, don't. Unless you want to be annoyed out of your fucking mind, then I say go watch it.

I've seen it. I watched it semi-recently with my lit teacher and I remember being annoyed too at just how dumb they all were. Maybe it's because the love story was so rushed? IDK I just wanted to smack them all. (And as for WSS I don't really have a problem with Tony so much as Maria. In A Boy Like That/I have A Love I keep thinking why is Anita so tolerating of her? Cuz really.) But yea, classic love story, etc.

OHMYGOD, Maria and Tony, they BOTH bother me. And DUDE, I so hate Maria in "A Boy Like That/I Have a Love" because when she goes "YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER! You were in love, or so you said." I'm like, alright Maria, Anita and Bernardo WERE in love, they actually formed a relationship off something that wasn't based off of a few days. She knew Tony for like a week, and then she turns around and says that Anita wasn't in love. I WANT TO HIT HER. If I were Anita, I would've just been like, bitch please. Shut up.

I always just get, like, one line or one verse stuck in my head and for Next to Normal it's almost always "You square all the corners, I straighten the curves/You've got some nerve, Henry, and I'm just all nerves." In addition to the way they both sing it, I love the music in that - I think that's where it sort of changes, like a little bridge or whatever? With the DUH-DUHs after each line and stuff? I loooooooove it. And I get "And some days I think I'm dying, but I'm really only trying to get through" stuck in my head all the time. Those are the two parts that are alllllllways stuck in my head.

I'm absolutely in love with that verse. And yeah! I love when the music changes there. I also really like the music after "Take a look at the invisible girl" DOO DOO DOO "Here she is clear as the day" DOO DOO DOO. I just think it's the most fun music. From Next to Normal, I'd say the verse getting stuck in my head lately is "Are you bleeding?/Are you waiting, are you wishing, are you wanting all that she can't give?" I love that. I also get the harmonys from "Song of Forgetting" stuck in my head quite a bit.

I love the way Aaron in I Am The One. IT'S SO SEXY, MY GOD. And Song of Forgetting is so pretty. After listening to songs a million times, I always end up focusing on the music, as opposed to the lyrics. It's just fun. I love the part in Just Another Day where Diana's going, like, "Dee-dee-dee..." while everyone else is holding "Daaaaaaaaay." I love the layers in Just Another Day. I always wake up craving to listen to some random song. For, like, an entire month, I would wake up with Happy New Year A or B stuck in my head and I have NO IDEA WHY. But lately it's been something from Next to Normal or [title of show].
