She runs her finger across the stain glass. She was clearly fascinated by it. Darker pinks. Lighter blues.
He watches her from a reasonable distance. He wears his usual expression. But if one would look closely enough, his eyes are, in the very slightest, have become a darker shade.
He was fascinated by her fascination. He had made a note of how knowledgeable she was (not amused by the rich kids at all). Her brown eyes were hazy and excited.
Speak only when necessary. There was nothing to be said.
If it was someone else who was standing here and not him, they would be asking things like, “Isn't it beautiful?” Well, of course it was. Or “Do you like that window?” Obviously.
He was secretly glad to be the only one watching her.
