The specific thing I remember best about it was that they kept the original ending of Rapunzel (I guess I've always worried about thing being 'accurate', haha).
Accurate? Wow you're good, I never even thought of that. It's interesting to see the hokey special effects, still I think it holds up to this day, don't you?
I think that the special effects in, for example, Mary Poppins, or Bedknobs & Broomsticks, hold up much better than the ones in a lot of the big-budget films of the last 30 years do. I might be a bit biased, though, haha.
Haha. I don't think that's biased. The difference I think lies mostly in how it's used. In Mary Poppins and Beadnobs, it's clearly used to help the story, where as allot of the big budget films, there's little story, but allot of effects. I doubt anyone will be talking about Transformers movies in ten years the way we do Mary Poppins.
