Timescale has begun! Or rather, the art grant proposal for Timescale has begun. BTW, the best place to shop for materials is a place called White Cap. There's a few, including one in San Leandro, and one in SF.

I have finishing tools for concrete if any are needed.

Also had a thought. To keep the weight down, how about casting hollow concrete tubes? Say, you put a 6 (or even 4) inch tube inside of an 8 inch tube, this gives you a hollow center. Less material, less weight, less cost.... Just a thought.

Best of luck - I remember when you were first talking about this and I'm going to really enjoy watching it come together from a distance - as well as seeing the final piece! If you need any help on the playa, more than happy to raise my hand :)
