Turns out the hurt kitty isn't going to get adopted. My co-worker told me this morning that her house wasn't safe; she moved into it a little while ago and has been re-doing everything since then. One of my co-workers is going to adopt the cat with the bad neckwound. She's actually the person who pointed him out to me yesterday on the Humane Society website. I'm proud of her for caring about him and wanting to give him another chance he certainly wouldn't have there. Well, the Director of Tails of Hope just called me back this afternoon about the cat. Unfortunately, she said that they wouldn't be able to help the cat because they don't have any spots left with their foster homes. She said several fosters have already taken in more than they can really handle and they've still had to turn down a lot of needy ( Read more... )

I just called and wrote an e-mail to Tails of Hope, the organization that supposedly rescues cats from shelters that are at the end of their rope (been at a kill shelter for too long) or are in medical need.
