Odd question, but does anyone know of a book that gives an idea of what the process of psychotherapy is like? As in, detailing the conversation between a therapist and a client.

research?

i think that'd be kind of hard to find because a) it depends on the invidiual sessions/clinets and b) the actual real covnersation is confidential.

Yes, out of curiosity. I knew about the confidentiality- I meant fiction books.

oooh, right. i thought this was for your WORK research, which seemed rather odd/amusing.

Haha if it was for work I'd be seriously worried. Maybe my seniors want to see what psychotherapy's like before trying? *g*

I used to read a number of psychology books. A lot of psychologists write books about their patients, just using a cloak of anonymity(sp) to keep it confidential. Just look up books that talk about case studies. I don't know of any fictional books that go in depth into the process, but i know from experience that they tend to mostly just try to get you to talk.

Just try to get you to talk, huh? *ponder* That's like, one of my worst skills :(
