My friend Janna is just finishing her degree in Anthropology. She's planning on getting her masters in Business Anthropology, so she can consult for companies that want to advertise in countries they aren't familiar with. (I always say she just wants to do this so she can boss people around.)
I can ask her more about it, if you want? She knows the place she wants to get her masters from, but I think she's taking a few years off first.
I am totally jealous that you went to the zoo. I want to go! Someday soon!
That's pretty interesting. Did she minor in anything? I keep forgetting that I can still (more or less) pick what I specifically want to do in graduate school. I just feel like they won't like me if I didn't take the type of classes they'd want me to take. Boo.
Man, shows how much I'm keeping up with my friends. I asked Janna, and she said she got a double honours degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies. She's going to be going into her sixth year to finish it (but just because she's been somewhat burnt out and has been working at the university at the same time).
I know it's hard! I'm thinking about law school, but I have to take two years of university first before I can apply, so I'm not sure what I want to do in those years first. Very confusing!
But you'll probably figure out what you want to major in and work in later on. If all else fails, go talk to an academic counsellor and check out your options? They're pretty handy, I hear.
