(no subject)
So, Ashley asked me for at least five things i love in my life, and I was due an optimistic post. This'll be a work in progress, but I'll start with.

01. my angel
i could easily go on: his eminent beauty; the smile he puts on my face. i'm officially turning into one of those people who goes on and on about the people they are in love with, getting butterflies more suited to a 14 year old & looking at the world with an almost repulsive optimism when i imagine a future with him in it. we are a 'get a room' couple, even when i try not to talk or think about him he will be there. my love for him was utterly unexpected and crept up on me slowly and i can remember the exact time and place he first confessed his feelings for me and i suddenly realised i felt it too. i love him to bits, this man is my best friend, my lover, my future husband, i'm genuinely hopeful of that. he's made me cry on more than one occasion, just bringing tears to my eyes with the intensity of the emotions he makes me feel. it's incredible, he's PERFECT.
02. my sanctuary
i don't spend a lot of time at home, nor do i spend a lot of time relaxing, but when i do get the oppurtunity, my bedroom really is my sanctuary. one of my favourite things to do is curl up amongst some pillows, light some candles and incense, do some sketching, read a book - just take it easy. my room is full of buddhas and utterly random beautiful things i have collected from beautiful places, and i love my bed, silk sheets and laced pillows ♥ everything is decorated and littered with memories. I'm a sucker for flowers, fairy lights, scents of vanilla. Everyone needs a little getaway place, and mine is here. I really want to be in bed right now!
03. my oppurtunities
i never dreamed i would end up here; in another country, with a job i enjoy, living with a great guy, not having to deal with my family. I'm not happy, in general, because I'm haunted by the past, but I'm truly so grateful of what I've been given the chance to achieve. I can speak several languages fluently, I'm able to make music in my home, I can create art which people enjoy and appreciate and I can actually earn money from. I'm a very lucky girl, in certain respects, and I don't think I've ever lost sight of that.
04. my location
i don't need to go into [again] how much i love where i live, the people of Great Britain and what it meant to me to come here. It is just a wonderful place to be; be it actually wonderful or just associated with so many wonderful things for me.
05. my art
self expression is a gift, which is a hard thing to say without sounding pretentious and stupid - but i think i already did ages ago :D i'm a huge fan of art, be it visual, aural or literary, and i couldn't live without a notebook constantly in my purse. i can't imagine a world where i could not draw how i feel, and gain so much pleasure [and even appreciation from other people!] in doing so.

My 3 favourite things about sex, drugs & rock n roll:
picking my favourite thing about sex would be a bit crazy, but i just wanted to say 'blowjobs, caffeine & pixies.' the pixies have always been one of my favourite bands, and i'm not sure i would ever function without caffeine. A cup of coffee in the morning always sorts me out better than anything else!
and who doesn't know i love lingerie ? its quite an addiction, really, i own so much of it, and if i see some i like i have to have it. i just love going into a shop like agent provocateur with a guy, having him pick an outfit he likes, and then taking it home to try on and show off for him. amazing fun :)
