This Goddam Complex

I hate this fucking place.  I truly do.  I wish I had the money right now to just pack up and get the hell out.  If only it was that goddam simple.  I am so sick of coming home to the front entry way looking like pigs live here.  Those goddam little shit-head kids throwing their trash right there on the goddam floor.  There are empty snack bags, an ( Read more... )

Come over here, we'll find some working out to do.

That sucks, hon. :: hugs :: I worry about you guys. The fact that one one will deliver pizza there says a lot. I'm getting you a gun or something, that place is starting to worry me sometimes. :P

I appreciate it. It just honestly isn't practical for me to drive 30 mins any evening when I want to work out. Maybe I can next weekend. I want to get a gym membership, but I can't afford it. I think the damn complex should have to pay for my membership since they can't keep their "amenities" (which are included in our RENT) in any kind of working order. My budget opens up at the end of the month. Hopefully I can sign up for a membership then. Of course all the beginning of the year "resolution" deals won't be valid then. Figures. Oh and yeah. Valid lesson for anyone. If you are considering an apartment complex? Call a local pizza place and see if they will deliver. It;s pretty goddam telling. Sorry, I'm in a piss-poor mood at the moment.

A video and a yoga mat? That very much sucks, though. We had a workout room at our last place, and it was okay, but only half the stuff really worked as it was meant to either. I paid for it in the winter, but when spring rolled around, I figured I live close enough to the bike/walking trail I just wouldn't bother.

That's about what it's going to come to. I wouldn't walk alone out here for anything though.

Yeah, that's the problem with living in places like that. I ended up finding a yoga class some guy taught in a church basement that was free...it was kind of nice to have a couple of hours set aside for it every week, sort of decadent. I don't imagine there are quite so many old hippies doin things like that where you live, though.

lol--sadly no, and I wish there were because that is an AWESOME idea! I took yoga a few times when I used to have a membership to bally's and I really enjoyed it. It was something I could do, and I was astonished to find out that despite how heavy I am, I'm actually quite flexible. It was refreshing when I could do stuff that the skinny little beanpole next to me couldn't! What I would really like to do is get back into bellydance lessons. It was something I really loved, and I miss it.

Ugh. I hate apartment complexes and will never live in one again. Ashkitty and I once had downstairs neighbors who went hunting and hung the carcass from the balcony. I went outside and there were all these birds out there ( ... )

Well, that makes sense. I forget that he has special education needs and if he is in a good situation it is probably best to leave him in it.

Oh, and I should clarify, it wasn't bird carcasses, it was like an elk or something and there were all these birds flying around it. So I did not actually see carcass except through the slats of the floor to try to see what all the birds were excited about.

Yeah, I am not a big Bally's fan myself actually. I went in to look into a membership and they were really high pressure, which I assume must work on some people, but just causes me to walk out.

Ooh, I wonder if I have workout programs on InDemand, I will have to look. That sounds cool.

Glad you guys talked to the mgr., hopefully it is effective.

Am interested in hearing whatever news you have (I say interested because I can't tell if it is good or bad so don't quite want to say I am looking forward to it...)

Oh, also, I have heard about the Y that they have income based pricing, though given that you and Gavin both work, I don't know if it would really apply. When I looked into the Y I found it ridiculously expensive, like $50 a month or something though. So just passing along what I have heard.

We did look into the Y, but the closest one to us is in Burien and that is just way too far.
