I saw a meteor on my way home last night! It was larger and brighter than a star, and shone vaguely green, a little like a firework but it wasn't. It wasn't like watching the Perseids either, which fly by and disappear almost as soon as you see them. This meteor seemed to fall for a long time, though really it was only a few seconds. It was

That sounds lovely, Kit. It's nice to see such things in the sky. It's fascinating the things that occur in the distance of space, beyond our own frontiers, and these things always remind me I really need to observe the sky more often than I do.
