Life. Haven't updated in a while.
A lot has happened, is happening, will happen soon (crossing my fingures)
I don't remember last time I posted, so I'll just put in the highlights. I've also been having trouble with my internet connection - my computer decided that if it gets bumped, then it disconnects from the internet, including when my cats rub up against it.
I had my debut performance at Jacques, it was fabulous! I was so in the moment of the performance, that I honestly can't remember how I got from point A to point B, or if the audience sang along when I asked them to. I'm performing there again this monday for Wreckage: the contest show. I'll be doing my drag/hedwig number for anyone who missed it, and a cowboy drag number (that should be interesting). I'm becoming prop-girl. I have to stop. It's both expensive and not smart when I don't have my own car. I really need to be able to carry my act (taxi's are expensive.
I also recently got cast in
The Tribe. Right now I'm just a member at large, but I've been asked to join a new improv group that will perform thursday in april, so I'll keep everyone informed on that. Brent and I are also performing with my Human Marionette group at their Variety Show on March 4 (and at Pan 9 in Allston on Feb 26th).
I'm teaching a six week Physical Comedy and Movement class, starting in april, at
Jimmy Tingle's in Davis Square. I'm really excited, my last workshop went really well, and I've gotten a lot of good feedback from it.
Ducks finally has a showing! May 20 we will be doing an installation at the
Studio Soto. Definitely don't miss this one, it will be a one of a kind experience.
My biggest news, for those of you who knew, is that I have decided not to go to Paris for school, and not to think about school in the near future. I have a lot going on right now in Boston, I'm working with a lot of amazing and talented people, and I just can't walk away from that.
What I am planning, is to get my artist certification so I will be eligible for cheaper artist live/work space and move in the late summer early fall. I am hoping to find a place by my self, probably in South Boston/Fort Point Area, that will have enough room for me, two cats, and a rehearsal work space. Whew! I hope I can afford it!
