You know it's interesting because this past month I've come to quite a few realizations about obsessions as well. I gave up certain friends who I had before who I really did care about (for a few reasons, but the most being that my friendship with these people had become far too much of who I was). I think obviously we both learned that to be who we are as people, it is vital to have balance and priority. I think we both also learned that true balance and priority are unbelievably impossible to obtain sometimes

comments always appreciated. everyone thinks i'm being hard on myself, but i don't think so. but i guess it would look different from inside my head. :) you keep saying that you're happy about the person you've become--thats what i want.
Hey hey hey! NOTHING could be as bad as high school. You shouldn't feel depressed because you became a huge fan of a band. Look at me and Bleach -_-;; omg I know it's all I talk about but the story is amazing, and it makes me happy. You shouldn't be sad over something that makes you happy! =D
Oh another thing: :I loved DBSK partly because it was something American girls don't understand, but in the DBSK fandom, I was just like everyone else. I don't want to be like them; fandom is a terrifying hierarchy where everybody judges everybody else based on how long they've been a fan and how much they know." --> this kinda is related to me and Twilight. I loved the books (I know they weren't your favorites XD) but it was like the books just kept attracting more and more weird creepy people. And now if you say you like Twilight people are like "Oh, you're one of those people" and it pisses me the hell off D:< But I'm not about to give up on something that makes me happy no matter what people say about it! =D
