Apathy is the greatest threatkaya_camillaOctober 17 2009, 18:49:17 UTC
People say that terrorism is the greatest threat we're facing today. While Gen. Colin Powell says that "The only thing that can really destroy us is us." I say "Amidst the conflict of interests and of beliefs in our damned world, the greatest threat that we face really, is apathy. When all of us accept things as they are, as hopeless and as tragic as a fly struggling to escape from the spider's cobweb. Terrorism is only an external force that may shake our grounds, destroy towers, or even kill our brothers, but only apathy can really paralyze the body and mind to not shed some care, some concern, some little bit of hope that "we can still do something." Without apathy in our hearts, we can still recover what is lost, rebuild what has been broken and reborn our lost will."
