it surprises me how many of my friends support bush. my question to you is, why? im not taunting or being sarcastic. i honestly want to know. i know why i dont support him. i know that i think he has made a mockery of the office called 'president' and of the idea called 'democracy'. and i think its these beliefs which lead me to be unable to fathom

Why support Kerry? "Anybody but Bush" is a stupid reason. If that's the best you can come up with, then don't vote. It's that kind of vitriol (from both sides) that has brought this country to this point.

In any case, what has he done to make a 'mockery' of the office and of democracy? Your reasons are vague.
