Game Rant: Snowflakes dancing to an unheard song... (Yukiuta)

Looking to the past is, in my opinion, a critical element when it comes to appreciating advancement of a genre of entertainment. By this I mean that while we can stare in awe at what is seen as "current" material, looking to previous works is just as important in order to see just how far an idea, concept or mode has come since its inception. It's kind of surprising seeing that Nano's design is very similar to Nanano's from Hoshiuta. Fumio must be lazying around. After reading your reviews, I deduct that Yukiuta and Sorauta is better than Hoshiuta. Frontwing literally butchered Renge's scenario so much that she don't even got an epilogue. Maybe if I got some free time, I'll try those two.

That's dissapointing to hear. Yamaguchi Noboru's work is usually pretty good for the most part (aside from flukes like Setsuna's route in Yukiuta). The first two games proved that Fumio + Yamaguchi Noboru was a winning combination. I'm guessing even that had run out of steam eventually.

And yes, I also noticed some recycled character features. I figured it was just a thing to expect from artists, but meh.

As far as Nano, she's a bit of a special case since Momoi Momoko = Itou Miyako (supposedly, anyways), who is better known as the VA for Kyoro-chan.

I'm glad you made good on your promise to review this "unofficial series." Too bad it wasn't more of a stand-out among the very crowded "sad girls in snow" types.

If you're looking for a game with better art and an intriguing premise, I'd recommend Asukimi by Purple Software. Its official website is here:

Keep up the good work!
