Rant: ...meanwhile, some Quickies

Break time for me again, as I try to get into Sumaga and figure out what other game to take up after that. Kinda stuck there, since I also have the KiraKira and Edelweiss fandisks to go through, but I haven't been up for that as of yet.

AneImo2: The last fandisk to be released in connection to this game has really shaken any faith I had in boot-up ( Read more... )

Yuniko is a pretty girl for sure, but all I get out of that picture is sympathy back pains!

Hah! This I can understand. Interestingly enough, Seven is one of those games where Sano's artwork lacks consistency in some of the CGs. Kohane is my favorite example, since standard interaction artwork makes it look like her chest is about to explode from the top of her school uniform, but there's a scene at a cafe where she looks, dare I say it, normal.

Is "NEEV" a poke at "NEET"? anonymous January 6 2010, 01:09:34 UTC
I suppose that one reason why she placed so high in the character poll is her exaggerated assets. I must say, however--what is it about her that makes people in that game think of her as "strange"?

Does Seven actually have a combat system to simulate its faux-MMORPG battles? The CGs seem to indicate some sort of "mature interaction system" is also in place, unless the characters in question somehow find costumes in real life that match their ingame characters.

And "find a groom" to inherit the family business? I'm confused--I know that Japan skews conservative in reality, but women in Japan can still inherit.

I personally think it's a reference to something else. They did a word play with the word naive, but that didn't get far ( ... )

I can't get enough of it. I fell for Kawashi Marino's voice when she played Liese in Eiyuu x Maou, so much that I actually learned mahjong so I could hear her in the omake game.

If you're interested in that, Eiyuu x Maou has has pretty H-CG, though kind of tame and all too little of it. The gameplay is simple but addictive, and easily replayable. The voice acting and story make it very much worthwhile, and if you enjoy playing a villain protagonist, this was one well-done character.

That's interesting to hear. Thanks for the recommendation.

It took me a while to realize it, but her name is apparently romanized as Kawashima Rino. Most games that credit her as a VA tend to write the whole thing together (かわしまりの). I didn't even realize how it was supposed to be romanized until I read the JP wikipedia article on her.

She has a pretty interesting career, and most of her voice work that I've encountered was "older" characters for the most part. To date, my favorite Kawashima-voiced character was Hase Chieri in Binetsu Kyoushi Chieri. She also did a nice job when she played R-Kobatomugi in R.U.R.U.R.. Should be fun to see her do something a little different.
