You know, I would feel the same way about the movie, but I don't even think it's supposed to be taken seriously. Or, at least, I'm having a hard time believing that it's supposed to be taken seriously. The whole thing seems almost as fantastical as Snakes on a Plane. Additionally, what's with Samuel L Jackson and snake movies anyway? And, who knows, maybe her character ends up kicking all their asses and showing herself as even stronger than the male characters. I'm not even really sure why this movie was made though. It really doesn't seem to make any sense.

Sadly enough, it is supposed to be taken seriously. It's being praised as a kind of redemption drama.
