So remember when I said that I didn't care if I got the job at UCS if I got to interview with these guys? Well I didn't get the job at UCS (who knows why, but I'm kind of glad), and I have an interview July 5 with them.

Chad and Woot, what are you doing on the 6th, because I might come through CS and we should do something if you're there.

Yeah, I got a letter at work the other day saying they had opted not to hire you. Frankly, I was a little surprised that they shared that information with me. Sure, it seems unlikely that the person I had referred would wish to keep it a secret, but who knows. It's not something they should share with anyone other than you. Anyhow, good luck with the guys in Austin. Austin definitely has a lot more to offer than College Station and it seems unlikely that they'd be paying you less. I just hope they didn't decide to not hire you because you were referred and they stood to pay the referral bonus to me if we're both their in four months (and what a party that would've been).

Anyhow, other than work, I have nothing planned for the 6th (and as far as I know, neither does Chad). I'll be here sometime around 5:30 and I think Chad usually gets off at 7. Too bad it's not on a Thursday.

Yeah I'm glad they didn't offer me a job, because if they did I would have taken it and then I couldn't be interviewing for the better job and company.

Since you guys aren't up to anything I'll come through town and give you a call about 5:30-6.
