There is a project that basically has to be tested six times at least 12 times by the 24th. We were supposed to get it today, we aren't getting it until Friday. That's two weeks to go through two test cycles and bug checks. I'm getting so much overtime. I think I'm going to have to have a huge party the next day.

I broke down and bought a new video card (Radeon 9550) and World of Warcraft.  So if anyone who reads this plays, I've started a Night Elf Druid on Laughing Skull named Fireal.

This bothers me.  I haven't had the chance to go there yet, and I really want to.

I got an e-mail today that said I'm approved to work 60 hour weeks for the next month, yay. At least I get paid for my extra effort, which is pretty rare for someone on a salary.  I spent all day in a classified area which wasn't really fun at all, wasted a good hour or two because of a bad port on a switch, but we got what we needed done and I get ( Read more... )

Other things:  I've been watching Deadwood on HBO on Demand and it's pretty awesome.  I also said that we'd be working Friday, that didn't happen basically because of a scratched CD.

So I went to best buy today and made my first i-have-a-real-job purchase: a home theater system.  It's pretty bad ass, the subwoofer is fucking huge and it's a good thing I live on the ground floor because it shakes the place.  Of course I ran into a slight problem with it.  My cable box only has a coax out for digital audio and the receiver only ( Read more... )

There's a fairly new Jaguar commercial out that bothers me.  The reason it bothers me is because it uses a song by a band called Aqueduct that I really like.  So for most of you out there, when this commercial comes on and you go "What the fuck is that music?" it's Aqueduct and the album that it's on really kicks ass.
