totally batshit khr theories, inspired by half_sleeping

Apr 18, 2008 02:46

i apologize for the disjointed. i love overthinking. but right now, it is safe to say i just had too much work to do today and my reasoning is haywire. please feel free to argue me out of this.

1. byakuran is a TERMINATOR

no srsly. byakuran was made by shouichi. he could be a robot. alternatively, he could be a hybrid. which leads us to the following theories:
1.a. byakuran is tsuna

what happened to tsuna's body? whoever said the coffin tsuna found himself in actually contained a body? something else could have been in there that actually contained the soul/essence/materia/etc of the tenth boss, aka sawada tsunayoshi. the shell itself (after having been gunned down) may have been converted into byakuran, courtesy of irie's mad skillz.

why exactly irie did it is anyone's guess (or fanfic fodder).

byakuran's overwhelming power over mukuro might serve as evidence. tsuna's strength enhanced and warped several times might just make this sexy killing machine.

1.b. byakuran is dino

wtf ftw. let's just say i put this here so i can say i called it XD; what, if you squint and tilt your head WAY TO THE RIGHT he resembles dino. and dino hasn't exactly made his appearance yet (although i'm still holding out for dino being some sort of underground rebel leader or something, sneaking up to save the day. everybody wants to see the cavallone, the varia and the TOMASO come into play okay.)

1.c. byakuran is verde

no real foundation for this yet, but i'm really thinking somebody has got to be verde. irie has just enhanced him with a hundred thousand "plugins," if they are even necessary (they are if you consider that future!gokudera had said "if not for him, byakuran wouldn't be like this"), but it's his basic camouflage skill that's been running the millefiore all along. irie's techno-leet has just helped him bring his mad schemes into fruition.
2. i-pin's master is hibari's relative

i suspect mithas dislikes this theory, although we haven't really spoken in-depth about it yet. i've been fostering this idea for a good while that hibari is the last of the quincy clan his family, and this means he has irrevocable genetic access to unlimited martial arts skill. but there is one far stronger than he, and this happens to be an older relative who's so strong that becoming an arcobaleno was not an option (see #3). way to channel itachi and sasuke at this point, i agree, but it's an idea i have difficulty shaking off nonetheless.

...major bonus points if, as makeste had suggested, this older relative happens to be a kickass girl.

3. the arcobaleno babies are the strongest ever people IN THE WORLD

so we have the strongest hitman (reborn) the strongest soldier (lal - then colonello, because he sacrificed himself so lal can "be girlier") the strongest camouflage artist (verde), the strongest martial artist/loner (see #2). i have no idea how to explain mammon/viper, however. "the greediest," perhaps?

they've been turned into babies because of a "curse," although WHY is an interesting thing to ponder. is it to gain power? is it for the sake of a "sacrifice" that seals a great evil in? is it to keep the peace between mafia families, by neutralizing agents who were born with the upper hand in every type of combat situation?

also, what happens to arcobalenos after they have been turned into babies is anyone's guess. reborn celebrates a birthday at some point in the daily life arc, so it may be safe to assume that they DO age, although there's no assurance that it means physical age. if you believe that there is, go to #4.

it's also likely that the babies/their colors symbolize something new, though i've run out of "seven"s. all i can say for sure with a modicum of certainty is that they've volunteered to surrender their years for a reason that promises to be very interesting.

4. reborn is the one who went back in the past and is shooting everyone with the future bazooka (suggested earlier by half_sleeping)

i'll just c/p what i said to half_sleeping in her post:

although they did say all the arcobalenos are dead, i'm thinking something batshit, like a dying reborn going back in time to convince his not-yet-dying (also, grown up and v. hot) self that going even further back in time and shooting everyone with the future bazooka is a good idea.

for one thing, we see the Legs of Destiny in the anime and the manga, and they definitely do not belong to an arcobaleno. they may belong to a 10-year-old (maybe) or some such. also, see #5.

5. there WILL be a way for babies to voluntarily shift to their older forms, albeit temporarily, and it WILL be pivotal either to this arc or to a future arc.

think meitantei conan and the paikaru drink XD

6. box animals evolve

i'm pretty convinced of this. it works by shounen manga logic. if you think uri is cool now, wait until he's this big mean battle cat.

i also like thinking of kangaryuu as an iddle bitty joey, if ryohei ever unlocked her during the regular timeline. then she'd grow up to be this scary-looking... support-type... pouch. which spits out REALLY COOL GLOVES.

just to be clear: i make allowances for me being completely out of touch with reality. there are a lot of unanswered questions certainly, like what reborn really told yamamoto (why he chose yamamoto to tell it to, for that matter), what gokudera's father left for him (bianchi is holding it hostage until hayato finishes his training), how exactly mukuro escaped from 1) his watery cage of yon, and 2) byakuran. but i don't really feel like analyzing them just yet.

it's okay, i love the ride anyway ♥

sleeping now. later~
