I am listening to Horowitz play Rachmaninoff. I am home sick with a nasty uti that's been going on almost a week. Just couldn't sit at that desk knowing I'd need to run off to the loo every 15 minutes. So, I am resting and drinking cranberry and listening to amazing music. The truth is I am having a really hard time with all of this. Watching her so broken. Over someone I consider sub-human.

If there's anyone I hate, it's him. And the problem is, I can't make him just disappear.

But if I could...

My sister can't find the strength to get out of an abusive relationship.

I can't do much mroe than remind her I love her.

So that's what I am going to do. As much as I can.

So, it's been 3 week since I started working at Apple.

Yeah, Apple hired me (through a temp service, for now) to tell people on the phone how to use their stuff.

I've been training and getting to know a room full of amazing people. And unlike another job of this ilk, I feel these people will remain part of my life when the diaspora occurs.

I lost my job almost a month ago.

Things have been bad.

Today, out of nowhere, an amazing employment opportunity showed up. And a friend offered me substantial financial help.

I have an interview tomorrow, and either tomorrow or Saturday my rent will be paid.

I'm kinda still in shock.

And probably shouldn't have had Dr. Pepper with dinner.

I'm amazed at how good I am being about cleaning up after myself. Doing the dishes every day. It makes such a difference in my stress level.

I miss LJ.

But I can't seem to get back into the habit of it.

Conflict.

I am working. I am trying really hard to not think about the apartment. I am failing.

Hope.
