Think about your religious beliefs. Ask yourself if you'd still hold those same ones if you were born in another time or place ( ... )

Though you're posting anonymously, I love all of your input.

TBH, What I believe in changes and evolves with what I experience, kind of like what Science does. so I would have to say, that in any era, I could, and probably would believe what I do now... possibly to a greater extent (making up for what science has yet to explain), or lesser, who knows.

What I do know, is that what I believe, is just that, a belief. It is constrained to what I cannot know, and do not know; My reality is not constrained by my belief.

If everyone put themselves to this test, we may live in a better world.

I wanted to add a comment... about Religion.

When I think about one of the most common religions, and the MAIN THEME therein, I think of Christianity, and how Christ "died for our sins".

This makes me realize, how much of a blankie that Religion is.

It's okay, you don't have to take responsibility for ANYTHING, Jesus died for everything you have done, are doing, or will do, that is, can, or will be labelled as a "sin". Just EAT HIS FLESH, and DRINK HIS BLOOD, say this ritualistic prayer which has become just words to you because you've been reciting it since you were 3, and all will be forgiven. EVERY FUCKING TIME.

To abandon religion is to take responsibility for being a good person. You have to live up to your own actions, and noone will take away the consequences of your misdeeds. If you give up Religion, you have to take that burden on yourself; the burden usually reserved for the "blood of christ".

What children.

To admit you don't know is wise.
To say you know, isn't.
