take him home as swiftly as their wings can carry him.  My adopted father, Elridge "Doc" Miller took his last breath at roughly 11:15 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2007.  He was 71 years young and deeply loved by many people.

I'm with you. Yesterday was the first of my mother's memorial services (she's getting 3: one in New York (yesterday) one in Canada on the 2nd of February and one on or as close to the 6th (her birthday) as I can get.

If you need a shoulder or listening ear I'm committed to bed rest under doctors orders till Tuesday.

that you are there when I need you. Right now, I am more concerned with how the boys are taking this. In the last 6 years, I have done a lot to help them in their understanding of death and my belief that it isn't necessarily the end of the loved ones we physically lose.

I'm worried about D, because he teared up, but didn't cry in front of us. As for G, he broke down. The last thing he said was that he didn't want to go to the funeral, but I don't know.

We bury "Doc" this afternoon. So, I have a feeling that it may be a little before I get on again.
