cosplay concerns

Anyone out there know how to knit?  I need gloves that i don't think can be purchaed in stores, and the only way I'll be able to do it myself is to cut two pairs of gloves apart and stitch them together, which doesnt seem like the best idea.

I can knit a little bit. I taught myself garter stitch to knit scarves and ribbing for Rinoa. I haven't quite figured out how to knit in the round, which is what I think you're going to need.

I know you'll probably need circular needles. I don't know how those work (though not for lack of trying). D:
