My Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe. From memory. XD
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
about 2 cups milk chocolate chips (I actually like Stop and Shop brand better than Nestle or whatever)
preheat oven to 350 degrees.
put butter in a microwave safe container and nuke until melted. allow to cool slightly.
while butter is cooling, combine sugars, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl, add butter and stir until smooth.
in a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
add the dry ingredients to the wet, starting with a little bit at a time. This will probably get really hard to stir, and it will look like its not going to mix together, but it will eventually. If it absolutely WILL NOT MIX, add a tiny bit of milk (i don't have a measurement here, but imagine you are adding it to coffee or tea. This will make a slightly puffier cookie).
Stir in chocolate chips until well distributed.
wet your hands (to keep the dough from sticking to you), and grab a little bit of the dough. roll it in your hands and then place it on a greased cookie sheet (you can use parchment paper if you want instead of butter or whatever). You can do this with a spoon but it really does work better if you get your hands in there. You may have to re-wet your hands a few times. place the cookie dough balls over too cookie sheets, evenly spaced. Bake 10 to 15 minutes; The shorter the cook time, the softer the cookies will be.
Makes 24 to 30 cookies.
