I'm so sorry. *hugs* Pet deaths are awful to deal with. A couple of years ago, we had to put my cat to sleep because she had kidney failure and stopped eating.

*HUGS* I had to do the same thing last year, to my kitty who was also 18. It's like losing a child, almost; a pet you really love is as dear to you as your family. I'm so sorry--it hurts like hell, and it will for a long time, but you have four other babies who love you very much. You can never, ever replace a kitty, but loving others can ease that loss a bit. I'm so sorry you had go to through that. *hugs some more*
