I think calling a contractor is a pretty good bet if the challenge at hand involves pests, fungus, fire, gas, or water, but even after this sore lesson, I'll be damned if I'll pay a handyman 120 dollars an hour to assemble ikea bookshelves for me when I've got my own 14.4v Ryobi cordless drill/driver.

Yellow jackets can fly faster than drill/drivers too, though.
