When I relocated to Montreal last September I brought Silas with me but made the decision to leave Pola in Halifax. Though it breaks my heart to be away from her I know she's being well loved and is, in turn, providing invaluable companionship for Jay. As for Siley boy, I figured he'd take the move/separation in stride.

How long did it take to wriggle a cat into a sweater?

Oh, about five seconds. All three of my kitties are very comfortable being handled by people. Once in the sweater, though, Elsa wasn't too impressed. It's a shirt meant for dolls, with the arms at the sides rather than the front, so she kept falling over when she tried to walk. I took it off after a few moments and won't make her suffer that indignity again. But she looked so darn cute ! =P

Silas seems grateful to once again have a friend to curl up with. He's still a lot more affectionate with us, and much more talkative than he was before the move, however.

Hehe... thanks.

At first she tormented Silas who, despite his size advantage, is a big wuss. She didn't give him a moment's peace, always wanting to play-fight or ride him like a horse. Thankfully, that lasted only a few weeks and they're now best buddies. Siley's still a LOT more vocal than he was in NS, though (particularly at dawn. Oy.)

we just adopted a female tortie who had been used for breeding and then abused/locked up all day.
my boys are more curious than anything, but she's decided she's the boss.
