What the fuck, LJ, what the fuck.
I come on here to read my f-list, and suddenly I stumble upon
Lavinia's entry, with the banner at the bottom. "What?" said I, and I clicked to read more.
Two hours later, and I am pissed.
Pissed beyond belief.
I personally didn't read a lot of smut-fic or things of that nature. And I sure as hell don't condone/ support

Be really careful going to that WFI site - everyone's reporting spamware after visiting it. Run your virus scans!
Anyway, I'm too much of a Slytherin to quit my paid account, ha. And I actually figure that elljay will have a pacifying response set up soon to respond to us - they're pretty good about PR. I actually read one good explanation from LJ Abuse, explaining how they have to search and delete for "incest" in order to stay safe legally, and it is a big deal, but they do give all deleted journals a chance and tool to back up before it's done.
But LMI, join fandom_counts! It's just a journal-count for all fandom members, regardless of fandom, to prove our importance to elljay. This morning it was apparently at 1,000. Right after I joined, it was at 13,402. I'm going to join with _lavinia_ too. WHEE!

Yeah, I read about the WFI site - I haven't even touched it. Nor do I want to. I've read reports from people who visited and such, which is good enough for me.
I saw that LJ Abuse response, but personally I think they're just trying to cover their arses. If they've got to do it for "incest," then they would have to do it for "murder," "suicide," "drugs," and things like that, too. Of course, all of those types of things are probably long gone out of people's profiles by now, but still.
And yay for fandom_counts! I joined yesterday when it was just under 9,000. GO FANDOM!!
