Neverwhere

J and I watched Neverwhere this weekend, and I enjoyed it immensely. Despite the Tom Baker-Doctor Who level of special effects (or perhaps because of the effects--need quality elsewhere if you have monsters wrapped in fur rugs), it was really engaging: funny funny characters, mostly good acting, and another excellent look at my beloved London. I watched on a bootleg VHS that I got at a New York Comic Con back when it first came out on BBC. It's fairly old by now, I'd guess, and definitely belongs in the old school Dr. Who era of BBC budgets. But the writing is crackerjack, and the characters are fun.
