Christmas, bloody puss, and more fun!

Christmas was pretty fun. I made out like a bandit! I got all sorts of neat-o stuff. Clothes, Windsor Pilates videos, hope chest stuff, makeup, dvd's - I was definitely spoiled this year

Well Druce and I may be in Portland..he wants to go out there to sight see I guess or something. Let me know if you want to meet in a public place (email me or sign my guestbook or try to email Druce). I may not have a computer with me at all times since I'm on vacation.

um, in junior high i fought with a gross, infected ingrown toenail. and i got it "fixed" which means they go in and cut it, but that didn't work? and then the other toe did the same thing.. so i had these two... horrible toe nails and i had to get the "procedure" done again. only this time the doctor tells me they NEVER do it without either scraping the bone, or injecting poison so the nail doesn't grow back. unfortunately, the place i went before did neither of those things, so it was just a painful waste. and.. i hate to say this.. but getting those toes cut on.. was one of the most painful things ever to happen to me [up there w/getting a tooth pulled w/o enough novicaine]. i mean, they used local anesthetic and poo, but it was just horrible. so PLEASE keep a close eye on it. your doctor would probably be better than mine and not have their head up their ass, but you never know. i think soaking your foot in warm water is supposed to help.... anyway, i hope it doesn't get that bad.. *hugs* hope i didn't scare you either.. hehe,

I've actually had the procedure done twice so far, and although they scraped the area it still grew back, but in a weird way. Kind of hard to describe...but they still get ingrown! They can usually be fixed at home before they get infected and stuff, but it's annoying. Humph!

I didn't have much pain either time with the toenail cutting, but I did have to get extra shots of anesthetic (sp?) which, as you know, really does not feel good in that area.

Anyhow, it's definitely NOT fun, but hopefully this one won't turn out to be like your nightmare! Thanks for posting, and I'll get to soaking my foot! :)

Oh sorry to hear about the ingrown toenails - you've really been in the wars throughout 2002.
I had both of my big toes operated on in hospital to sort ingrown toenails out - probably all those pointy goth shoes were to blame! Not nice at all and the pain is incredible.
Best bit was the Pre Med they gave me in Hospital - it was heavily psychedelic... I totally tripped out and was babbling alsorts of nonsence to the patients in the other beds, who found it hilarious! You gotta try some Pre Med, Morgan - it rocks! Acid and mushrooms don't even come close!

I don't know what it was with this last year, but it seemed like I was sick for about 90% of it. Oh well - this year will be better I think!
