From a discussion on FB, where a friend asked "Just for fun, which superhero do you think would make a good President and/or VP?"... several of us commented something along the lines of Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, because, as I said, they'd hopefully cancel out the more radical aspects of each others' personalities. Someone else said that they ( Read more... )

LOL, my favorite part of this is Thor as First Lady, ngl, but I agree with all of the Steve points. And also that he needs a Veep who would be more at home at dealing with weaselly manipulative types. The thought of Tony Stark in any sort of position of political power is kinda scary. Fury, maybe? Dunno, that's a tough one...

P.S. Natasha for Secretary of State!

Yeah, the Thor as First Lady part was what had me cracking up. :)

Someone else suggested Hawkeye/Spiderman... and I was like, "You know... I might be able to get behind that ticket."

So the rest of the comment by the person who I quoted above was:
Hawkeye/Spiderman? Well, Peter's too young and Clint's a damn carnie, so... although Natasha probably would take out every pundit that talks shit about him, so that's a plus.

:)

And then I said, later, after someone suggested Buffy for President and someone else said that they disagreed:
She's a good general-- she'd kick ass out in the field. But I don't think she's a bureaucrat at all. With that said, though, I don't think Cap or Tony would be good at that kind of thing either for very long (Steve would definitely suffer through for longer than Tony would, though). Can we make Nick Fury president? Except I'm not sure if I trust him... but then again, that's nothing new for politicians.

I definitely don't trust him (which, yeah, is par for the course), but with Steve to balance things out, it might be alright...

I don't have a good feeling for Clint, and Spiderman's too... nebbishy. I think I would stick with Steve :)
