I have been meaning to post about the weather. It has been wonderful, it always takes me by surprise how completely everything changes the minute you can start shaving off overcoats and long sleeves. About 3 weeks ago, when the snow was still knee-deep (almost unbelievable that it did melt away so quickly), our Tradescantia blossfeldiana decided to bloom (I wonder if it has a simpler name). A pretty little white flower, it opens a new one almost every day, and old ones wither off (it has also grown an additional set of flowers by now).

It's not exactly a masterpiece, but all in all it's not bad. I mostly had fun with inventing* different patterns that'd be same for both sides for different patches, ended up repeating the ones I liked best.

Somehow figuring out what I want my thesis to be about and how to approach it is incredibly difficult. It feels like this is the first real big test in my higher education. Just need to make it work somehow. It does not help that I feel incredibly drowsy for most of the time. At least the days are longer now ( Read more... )

I'm looking for good ideas of all the things that can be put into a sushi-roll or on top of a nigiri-sushi ....

I wonder where does that sudden moving-over-to-the-Wordpress thing come from ...
And I wonder if I should keep tab of all those new public blogs or just keep following what's left of my (not so big to begin with) friends list and accept the loss.

Maybe LJ is an era to end soon, like that of telnet talkers, at least for me?
