Yes! That's Wallace as he's finding out about Brandon in 1.06. I'm so sad that he was only around for one season. I like how that one turned out, but my screencap quality was pretty bad; I was capping myself off of Megavideo. Mind if I ask where you found yours?

I get what you mean about his short tenure on the show, but, at the same time, I can't imagine the first season without his death, you know? I feel like it was, in a lot of ways, THE pivotal moment of Season 1, and definitely the one where David Simon & co proved that nothing was safe and they'd do anything for the sake of the story, realism, and all.
But man, I still feel you on it being so, so ridiculously sad. Making Poot one of the shooters, the build-up at the restaurant (was it Wendy's?) and that scene where the detectives went to Poot's mom's house and all she could say was that Wallace owed her money made it so much more horrible. All he did was be human and react with basic empathy to what happened to Brandon. I feel like if there's anything in art that's proof that life's not fair, it's Wallace. Is he your favorite character?

But it's even more reassuring to see Wallace. That's from Episode 6, right?
