Back with my second tutorial, which is actually more of a guide! library_of_sex requested that I please impart my wisdom about my text work and how I achieve it. HER WORDS, NOT MINE

I just about raced through this fuckin' tut. I hadn't thought of using a gradient on my text layers, so I oughta try that out! And thanks for the fonts recs, too. I'm gonna go find that St Marie font and see if I can use it soon. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WRITING THIS UP, NIK! <33333333333
To say this is helpful would be just about the biggest understatement in the world gosh. Thank you so much for putting this together! Seeing all the fonts side by side with the examples really helps put things into context. I shall refer back to this again!
Franklin Gothic is probably my favorite font ever, and I love the rest of your favorite fonts! That little drop down menu for extra options for fonts doesn't necessarily have to do with whether it's open type or not. Essentially, if the font comes with lots of different variations (bold, italicized, condensed, compressed, extra light, demi, book, etc) that's where you'll choose them. Your drop shadow method works so much better than mine, thank you so much for posting this!
I must say, I've not been doing icons in a few years--and, just happened upon you...and you've certainly inspired me! I'm putting this one in my memories so my rusty brain can peruse at my leisure. Thank you so much for sharing!
