Don't know if the show will go there, but I'm assuming that David was not only Nolan's venture capitalist but his first lover, and that finding this out is what convinced Victoria to turn against David.
Not that in a nighttime soap the two roles are incompatible, but Nolan isn't/wasn't on the best of terms with his biological father, so David might have been his father of choice. And, certainly, he proved that David could trust him by turning over instead of trousering vast amounts of money.
I really do not watch it. I've seen it, and like most sitcoms, it made me go, "Yeah, I see why that's funny." Rather than actually laughing. I am not sitcom-compatible.
I knew the song before, though. It cracks me up every time I do the video game dance. It's pretty much an inexhaustible source of fun and more challenging cardio.
