This is an excellent remix of Buffyverse elements. The knight comes across as slightly sympathetic, yet still callous.

Thank you! I didn't want to make the knight an unambiguously bad guy. He's doing his duty, but he doesn't like what he has to do. But he's a general, he got used to making unpopular decisions. And the situation is tough.

Joss' words "There are moments that define us" haunted me as I was writing the last chapters...

A Glorificus/Illyria/Jasmine triumvirate is both extremely frightening and very clever. The knight just kept making reveal after reveal, and now the gang know there's a vulnerable human housing the hellgod. That's pretty much the only good thing to come out of the conversation and with Faith in labor and that protection spell's expiration coming up soon, you've really ramped up the tension. Nice work.
