Hee! You've always had a gift for meshing the absurd with the poignant, and this fic's a testament to that! Your Buffy in particular is a love-denying, secretly-pining gem, Anya is as entertaining as ever, and Dawn says exactly what needs to be said (and naturally, no one listens). And of course, it's all the minor characters that have me grinning at my monitor- ornithologically-inclined Andrew, making money off sex tapes; Lydia, always a Spike fan; Giles and his Ethan Rayne spanking (and btw, it was a pleasant surprise to see some S8 references in this one); even Angel, different-but-not-quite.
